- 2013: "The Unveiling"10/12/2014
- 70=Ayin=Hebrew for eye, or "to see, know, experience. (2)" Eyes are known for their sight. With accurate vision, there is no veil of deception. It is a number prior to increase, or representative of a multitude (3) and of perfect spiritual order carried out with all spiritual power (4).
- 3=Gimel=Hebrew for camel, "to lift up, burden bearer (5)" A camel is an animal known for its burden carrying and for its endurance in difficult environments. They can carry water in them even in the most arid, heated, and difficult places. For Christians, the number three carries the weight and significance of the triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- 10=Number of law, order, government. It can also mean number of trial, testing and responsibility, a tithe (6)
Word for Hebraic Year 5773 (2013)
"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord." 2 Corinthians 3:18
Have you ever been in a place where a veil was over a window or door, or at a concert/play where the curtains were closed wondering what was just beyond the veil or curtain? Or have you been to a wedding where the bride wore a veil over her face, and peered at her trying to see her face? Or seen muslim women with faces covered wondering what is behind the veil? Over the past several months in prayer, I kept hearing the word "unveiled." As I have prayed into it more and God has not released me from it, I have sensed it a word for this coming year. We are entering a season this year of God unveiling the hidden things. There will be an unveiling...of both good and evil...an unveiling that will press us into the throneroom of God.
With Rosh Hashanah, we are literally at the "head of the year," in the Hebraic Civil year 5773 and coming into the Gregorian year of 2013 in a few months. Last year, there was a real sense of building and strengthening of the cords of relationships and ministries in the body of Christ...a sense of convergence and need to build, encourage and edify one another (click here for more information). As this convergence is truly happening, an unveiling of God's redemptive purposes is unfolding in the face of increasing conflict and warnings.
Unveiling of God's revelation: Release of the burden bearers
It is interesting to look at the year not only from a Gregorian standpoint but from a Hebraic standpoint. This year being 5773, is the year of "ayin gimel" (73) in the Hebraic Civil year and 2013 in the Gregorian calendar. Interestingly, in both the Hebraic numbering system and the "Gregorian" system, these numbers carry a significant weight. In Hebraic terms the year 73 incorporates three significant numbers 70, and 3 (73 in 5773) and in the Gregorian numbering system the addition of 10 (10+3=13…2013). These numbers carry significant weight and meaning as follows: (1)
This is a mobilization that will be led by His Spirit. Our part is to respond to God's prompting to pray. It will be a clear call! Those who will respond will be greatly encouraged and strengthened to face significant challenges as they enter into a realm of clarity and vision they have not yet experienced. God is faithful. He will draw near to those who draw near to Him (James 4:8). It is His promise and His desire to strengthen and embolden us for the coming days.
Beyond the veil with "Endurance:"
Camels are not only burden-bearers but have great endurance. They survive very difficult environments. This is a year of great favor to many who have been diligently responding to God's call to pray but yet hidden. Some ministries may have grown weary and tired in the process of responding to their call. When we are at the "veil," life, calling, even ministry can become blurred, even wearisome. Be not dismayed. Many eagles go through the "molting" process where they lose their feathers, and require others to feed them as they cannot fly. Many in this process are re-evaluating their lives, ministries, wondering what is next...they are trying to see through the veil in front of them. If you are there, keep pressing into God, as it is during these times of questioning that God reveals His direction, His "food" for the next season. Such questioning is a healthy sign that God is about to move in front of you to remove the veil and reveal the vision and purpose for your next steps and destiny. Do not give up, keep pressing in.
These times of weariness may also test our character to see if we will endure. God allows these tests to strengthen us for what is ahead. Galatians 6:9 exhorts, "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." If you are in a place of weariness, do not lose heart. Continue to press in, stay thankful. His answers and strength will come if you do not lose heart. Isaiah 40:28-29 promises, "Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength."
Many have endured very difficult and strenuous places but have been hidden like Joseph who was misrepresented and betrayed by his brothers, and cast into prison. As God unveils the hidden things, these Joseph's are being released from prison. Those who have been hidden or felt trapped, unrecognized, even unproductive but have endured and been faithful in their callings will suddenly find favor and their tent pegs expanding as God moves to expand His Kingdom. Supernatural release is coming this year. Like Joseph, the deliverers are coming.
Unveiling of enemy schemes:
Not only will God reveal His heart to those who seek Him, but there will be an unveiling of enemy schemes. Sudden things will occur this year, some very significant that may be discouraging and difficult from an "earthly" standpoint. These difficulties will happen as God exposes and unveils enemy schemes. He is now preparing us for these difficulties through prayer. The intensity of this call to pray will exponentially increase this year as the times demand it. As people respond, God will strengthen the human spirit to face the challenges ahead. The convergence of last year will continue. As difficulties intensify, the body of Christ will be pressed in together with a new and "multiplying" effect. We will have no other place to turn except to press in through the veil and the call of God to "enter in." God wants to rend our hearts, not just our outer garments as Joel 2:13 prophesies, "So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm."
In the midst of the tumultuous times, God is going to give clarity of vision to the "burden bearers." To those who are willing to press in, take the burden, and carry it, He will release revelation to defeat the darkness of enemy schemes. It will require prayer and hunger of the human heart seeking after God to apprehend the heavenly realms even in difficult and challenging times. As we respond, God will help guide and direct us with greater accuracy and insight to help us. He carries the answer, are we willing to press into Him to find them? He is willing to deliver, but will we respond to the call to pray and seek His face? Amos 3:7 promises, "Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets." This prophetic release will encourage and embolden believers in their gifts and calling which Romans 12:29 says is "irrevocable." If we respond to this call of heaven this year, we believe there will be a new release of prophetic voices and insights that will help call the dry bones of the body of Christ together to strengthen and equip us to face these challenging times.
Yes, the times ahead are going to be challenging. The shakings have already begun and those who have been in it and sensing it are responding. Be not dismayed. Our hope is in Him! He is preparing the way for His glory. Press in beyond the veil until you see and hear clearly from the Lord. As darkness increases, God promises in Isaiah 60:2 "For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you." A harvest is ahead, do not let the news you hear or the darkness you see dismay or dissuade you. God's word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. He will take us beyond the veil into His full promise and purpose. Pray God removes the veil from our eyes and hearts that we may see clearly with faith, hope, and love as we respond to the call and rise above our circumstances into God’s heavenly plan and purpose.
Some key Scriptures:
1 Cor 13:12-13: For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Hebrews 6:11-12: And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Prayer: Father God, thank you that you have given us life. Strengthen and embolden me today by your Spirit for your word says, "it is not by might nor by power but by my Spirit." Fill me with your Spirit today. Open my eyes that I might see you more clearly, open my mind that I might think more clearly. You are the everlasting God, in you I place my trust.
